The Essence Of Time

A meditation on precision, made for Mercedes-Benz. We built the sonic identity from the ground up — three sound logos, a generative score and a 60-second cinema mix that holds even at whisper volume.

Brief

A 60-second teaser built around the language of time itself — escapements, balance wheels, the second-by-second discipline of a movement. No dialogue, no music brief. The director wanted "the sound of progress without nostalgia." We took that literally: no presets, no library whooshes, no rising risers.

Build

Every element was recorded or synthesised in‑house. Watch escapements at high gain, capacitor whines, magnetic resonance from a stepper motor, a single sustained cello note resampled across four octaves. The sound logo was iterated 41 times before approval.

Delivery

Final delivery included Dolby 5.1 cinema, stereo TV, two 15s cutdowns, six social variants in three loudness profiles, and an isolated sound-logo pack for future campaigns.
